## Function

Acquires high-resolution, low-noise digital images via a cooled scientific CCD sensor. It performs quantitative photon detection across a broad spectral range, enabling precise measurement of light intensity and spatial distribution for scientific applications like microscopy, spectroscopy, and biological imaging. The system digitizes analog sensor signals for output to a host computer for analysis.

## Platform

Designed as a high-performance scientific imaging system with sensor technology providing 6.5 µm pixel pitch, optimized for advanced life science and physical science applications such as fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy. Operates on standard digital interfaces (AIA digital interface 68-pin connector) with options for air or liquid cooling and supports integration with C-mount optics. Features ultra-fast frame rates, low read noise (~1.2 e-), and large sensor area (~29.4 mm diagonal), enabling high sensitivity, large field of view imaging compatible with high magnification microscope objectives. Interfaces seamlessly with microscopy platforms and data acquisition/control software environments, facilitating OEM customization and multi-modal imaging workflows.

## Application

High-resolution CCD-based imaging system designed for low-light scientific applications including fluorescence microscopy, astronomical observations, spectroscopy, and quantitative photometry. Provides 12-bit digitization with thermoelectric cooling for reduced dark current noise. Interfaces with microscopes, telescopes, and spectrometers via C-mount or similar optical coupling. Used in biological research for live cell imaging. Applied in materials science for photoluminescence analysis and crystallography documentation.
