The Rockwell/Allen-Bradley SLC 100 Programmable Controller are microprocessor-based programmable controllers that use the familiar ladder diagram format. They are designed with simplicity in mind. The functional capabilities of these controllers include relay logic, sequencers, counters, timers, and shift registers. The SLC 100 controllers contain the processor, a power supply, and 16 I/O circuits. These controllers can be used in a wide variety of applications, including: machine tools; assembly machines, material handling; and molding and casting machines.
The SLC 100 Expansion Units can be used with the SLC 100 processor unit or the SLC 150 processor unit to expand the number of I/O circuits to a maximum of 112. The expansion units have the same construction as the SLC 100 processor unit. The expansion units are available in 3 I/O configurations including the basic unit, the relay output unit, and the analog input unit. The basic unit has 10 input circuits and 6 output circuits. The relay output unit has no input circuits and 6 output circuits. The analog input unit has 4 analog input circuits (2 set points per input) and no output circuits.
