Description

The Agilent E1420B High-Performance Universal Counter provides all traditional universal counter measurements (frequency, time interval, period, ratio, and totalize), plus the automatic measurements of rise/fall time, pulse width, ac/dc voltages, and phase. This module also has x10 attenuation, allowing signal measurements of higher-power.

The E1420B is used in applications requiring high speed and throughput in all phases of measuring - setup, measure, and output. It performs up to 60 measurements per second of the same function. It also can sequence through a series of different functions at speeds up to 40 measurements per second. The optional shared memory capability yields up to 160 measurements per second, for setups requiring faster measurements. The shared RAM option allows the module to send measurement data to another VXI device with shared RAM. Data can be accessed by the controller, providing higher measurement throughput.
