Description
The ILX Lightwave LDC-3900 is a highly flexible, modular laser diode controller. The instrument features four rear-loading module bays that accept a wide range of user-interchangeable modules. Modules include current sources with maximum outputs from 200 mA to 8 A, a TE controller that supplies up to 32 W, and special "2-in-1" current source/TEC combination modules.
With five different current source modules and five "combination" modules available (current and TEC), the LDC-3900 can be configured for hundreds of applications. Each module is also fully isolated (electrically floating) from all other modules. This feature permits system configuration without the fear of laser-damaging ground loops.
For automated control, a GPIB/IEEE-488.2 interface allows remote programming and readout from most computers. All instrument and module functions accessible from the front panel are also accessible through the interface bus, allowing both simultaneous and independent control or testing of several lasers-all from the same interface, saving both time and space.
