With a National Instruments CAN interface, you can use a desktop, industrial, or notebook PC running Windows for a variety of CAN applications, including automotive testing and diagnostics, prototype design, factory automation, and machine control.
What are the differences between the Series 1 and Series 2 CAN boards?
Series 1 boards could communicate by either DeviceNet or CAN, but for Series 2 this functionality was separated into different products. Because of this, Series 1 cards require an older version of the NI-CAN driver to be used since Series 2 phased the Series 1 cards out.
