The National Instruments PCMCIA-CAN/LS is a 1-port low-speed/fault-tolerant CAN interface card designed for communicating with low-speed CAN devices up to 125 kb/s. NI PCMCIA-CAN/LS cards use the Intel 82527 CAN controller for advanced functionality and modes. Each CAN interface is shipped with NI-CAN device driver software, which reduces development time with tools such as Vector database file import, bus monitoring, Test Panel, and NI Spy. You can synchronize NI CAN and DAQ cards using the RTSI-like connector on the PCMCIA-CAN/LS cards. All National Instruments CAN interfaces are designed to meet the physical and electrical requirements for in-vehicle (automotive) networks based on CAN.

The PCMCIA-CAN series cards are Type II PC Cards that are completely software configurable and compliant with the PCMCIA standards for 16-bit PC Cards. With a PCMCIA-CAN series card, you can make your PC-compatible notebook with PCMCIA sockets communicate with and control CAN devices.
