Description

The SVME-537/DMV-536 Byte-Wide Memory Card is a byte-wide memory module which supports a variety of EPROM, EEPROM, and SRAM devices. It provides a means of adding non-volatile storage capacity to a VMEbus-based system. Up to sixteen 32-pin JEDEC-standard devices are accommodated for a capacity of up to 16M bytes of EPROM or 8M bytes of SRAM.

The card supports DY-4 Systems' common features such as a location monitor, Built-In- Test (BIT) and Bus Isolation mode (BI-mode). DY-4 Systems' common features support diagnostics and logistics maintenance on-line. The location monitor provides an addressed mechanism for entry into and exit out of BI-mode. Built-In-Test (BIT) provides hardware features to verify all operational circuit blocks on the module. Bus Isolation mode (BI-mode) provides a means to electrically isolate the module from the VMEbus. These features allow the users to perform fault detection and isolation during operation to build fault-tolerant systems. In addition, they allow for on-line maintenance and system configuration control to minimize field maintenance, time, and sparing logistics.
