Description

The BB9210, BB9250, and BB9260 are C-sized prototyping modules that simplify any engineer's task of developing his own VXIbus-based instrument products. The BB9210 accepts Interface Technology's DT9110 daughter card for a complete register-based VXI interface. For a message-based VXI interface, the BB9250 includes the 16 MHz 68000 based DT9150 daughter card and the BB9260 includes the 40 MHz 68030 based DT9160 daughter card. With the use of the smallest commercially available VXI interface, all models of Interface Technology breadboards offer more than 100 square inches of development area.

The breadboard modules are designed with four power planes: +5 V and ground (both on the outside) and two user-defined internal power planes (V2 and V3) which are accessible throughout the entire area of the module. The prototyping area is laid out using pin spacing of 0.1 inch centers that will support 0.3, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.9 inch DIP components, as well as Pin Grid Arrays, SIP and ZIP packages. In addition, there are four edge connector areas that are located along the front side of the prototyping module for supplying signals, lamps, or switches to the faceplate. These are available for use with any standard right-angle components or connectors and can accommodate up to a dual row 80-pin connector, a dual row 20-pin connector, a DB25 connector and a single connector up to 10 pins.
