Description

The General Micro Systems ENET VIII Octopus Octal 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet PMC Adapter utilizes the 82559ER, Intel's MAC/HY integrated controller for a high performance, low cost network adapter expansion model. This PMC module is fully complaint with 1386.1 specifications, allowing any single board computer to add an additional eight channels of 10/100Base-Tx.

The Octopus is configured as eight independent channels; four of which are connected to the front panel via a standard RJ-54 connector, and four which are routed to J3 of the rear panel I/O. Therefore, the module can be used in front or rear panel applications.
