Description

The North Atlantic E5410M-39-26 3-Channel Two-Speed Resolver to Digital Module is a single slot VMEbus card that incorporates five separate transformer isolated tracking converters that are configured as two two-speed, and one single speed channels. Any of the listed speed ratios can be selected. The converters utilize a Type II servo loop processing technique that enables these units to track, at full accuracy, up to the maximum specified tracking rate. Internal ambiguity circuitry compensates for angular displacement between the coarse and fine synchros. Even with a maximum displacement of 2.0° at 36:1, the output will be accurate and monotonic. The displacement angle, of course, reduces as the gear ratio increases. The use of intermediate transparent latches assures that valid data is always available without effecting the tracking performance of the converters. A true self-test feature, when addressed, will disconnect the input and insert a predetermined angle that is used to check system performance. Diagnostics includes reference and signal loss detection for each channel. A memory location will indicate the status of each Reference and each Signal input.
