Description

The Abaco Systems / Radstone PMCFA1 Fiber Channel Adapter PMC Module is a rugged fiber channel adapter that provides access to fiber channel fabrics in embedded systems for air and conduction cooled environments. Typical applications include radar and sonar processing, storage area networks (SANs), imaging, network backbones and high speed low latency data acquisition systems.

The PMCFA1 is capable of fiber channel data transfer rates up to 200MB/sec and supports Class 2 and Class 3 communications and multiple concurrent protocols on the fabric. This is provided on a single PMC module compliant with the IEEE P1386.1 PCI Mezzanine Card Standard.

A key feature of PMCFA1 is the use of additional transceivers that offer onboard equalization making the adapter suitable for use with long lengths of unequalized cable.

The standard PMCFA1 is supplied with a copper interface that, if required, can be converted to optical fiber by an external Media Interface Adapter (MIA).

Product Family: PMCFA1, PMC FA1, PMC/FA1, PMC-FA1
