Agilent E1421A:
The Agilent E1421A C-size, 6-slot VXI mainframe is a compact, cost-effective solution for configurations requiring fewer slots than the 13-slot E1401B or E84XX series C-size mainframe. The smaller size and weight of the E1421A make it an excellent choice for either portable or rack-mount applications. The E1421A complies with the VXIbus Specification by providing injector surface rails used by the QUIC easy module insertion and extraction system. Agilent has incorporated its industry-leading Pressurized Air Channel cooling system into the design of the E1421A. It ensures clean, uniform airflow to each module. For greater power supply serviceability, power input intake is through the rear of the mainframe. Airflow is through the right side and exhausts through the left.

RadiSys EPC-7: (Agilent RADI-EPC7B)
The EPC-7 is a C-size VXIbus embedded computer based on the Intel 486 processor. It can perform 8-, 16-, and 32-bit VXIbus data transfers, both as master and slave, and can be the slot-0 and system controller and resource manager. The EPC-7 can be an interrupter and interrupt handler, and can drive and sample the TTL and ECL trigger lines. The EPC-7 is compatible with the IBM PC architecture and contains standard front-panel connectors for PC serial and parallel ports. The keyboard port is PS/2 style. In addition, the front panel contains a SCSI-2 port and cable connectors for external clock and trigger signals.

The Agilent E1740A time interval analyzer module provides a 2-slot VXI card solution for high-performance measurement. Its ability to capture high-resolution timing measurements makes it suitable for jitter characterization, telecommunications, digital design, data storage, radar/surveillance, VCO/PLL, clock distribution, and high-speed mechanical applications. The E1740A is the heart of the E1725A/B/C VXI system and is available with software packages that tailor the instrument for specific applications. Products are designed for data storage device analysis, network synchronization measurements, clock jitter and SONET/SDH jitter analysis.

This easy-to-use Microsoft® Windows® application includes powerful display and analysis capabilities. By integrating the Agilent E1740A or E1725A/B/C time interval analyzer with a PC running Windows 3.1, 95, or 98, the software helps you effectively analyze the quality and performance of your products including high-speed, high-density disks.

The Agilent E1747A timing pattern analysis software, when used with E1741A time interval analysis software, helps you focus your development efforts to improve disk drive performance. The software provides a graphical analysis of the underlying pattern-dependent timing effects that limit quality and performance, and lets you extract worst-case data patterns, even from random data. Use it to investigate problematic data patterns and their influence on data edge placement. E1747A software integrates the measurement functions of E1740A or E1725C time interval analyzers with Microsoft Windows®-based analysis routines.
