The SVME-179 has a DIN 41612, 5 row P2 Connector, with a PMC I/O via 78-pin HDP-22 receptacle. The SVME-179 likewise provides access to four different serial channels. Channel 1 and 2 are EIA-232 via DE9-S (configured as DCE). Channel 3 and 4 are EIA-422/485 via DB25-P (configured as DTE). A SCSI via 50 pin CHAMP receptacle is also attached. The CBL-179-003 cable includes null modems for serial Channels 1 and 2. Default serial communication parameters are 9600 N, 8, 1 (9600 baud, no parity, 8 bits, 1 stop bit). Cable length is approximately 24 inches (60 cm).
