Packaging Guidelines

Box it

1. Use a new box whenever possible
2. Double box for heavy items
3. Remove old address labels when reusing boxes

Cushion it

1. Wrap each item separately
2. Layer at least 2 inches of cushion on the top, bottom, sides, and corners
3. Use extra cushion inside to separate fragile items
4. Fill void spaces to prevent movement of goods during shipping

Seal it

1. Use nylon reinforced filament tape or high quality packing tape
2. Use tape that is 2-3 inches in width
3. Tape along all sides, edges, and seams

Label it

1. Remove old labels when shipping in used boxes
2. Place labels on a flap or side, not on a seam
3. Label first, then apply tape over it
4. Always include your full return address, including street and postal code
5. For international shipments, include contact name and telephone number in addition to full address

Ship it

1. Coordinate pick up with a shipping company OR
2. Drop off at a local authorized shipping center
