The EPX100 provides all of the timing sources for EPX test systems. Internal, BITS-timed and external clock sources are available. The external clock output provides a convenient means to trigger a scope or other external test device. The EPX100 also serves as the timing reference for all frequency-counter measurements. Use external clock or external BITS input for the frequency counter. The EPX100 even has a BITS output to allow multiple units to be timed from the same BITS source. In addition, the Clock Module can be run remotely from any Web browser.

The EPX000 CPU Module performs all necessary communications, status operations and monitoring needed by EPX systems and all installed test modules. The CPU features a Web server engine running on a PC-based platform with a hard drive for test data logging and test configuration storage. Remote communications are available through the standard RS-232 or Ethernet interfaces.

EPX systems may be controlled from any hardware platform through your favorite Web browser. For your convenience, the EPX000’s hard drive provides all the documentation needed for system configuration. If you are writing your own EPX system control application, you can use the API that is documented on the EPX000’s hard drive.
