Dover Motion / NEAT Linear Motor Stage Overview

  • High Repeatability
The Dover Motion / NEAT Single-Axis Series Tables include a number of standard features, making them ready to integrate. All units are manufactured with a motor, built-in Hall-effect limit switches, and locking, strain relieved motor and Limit/Limit Connectors. The limit switches are repeatable to ±2.5 microns, providing precision position references in addition to overtravel protection. The separate connectors provide convenient connection of motor and limit/encoder signals. Units with rotary motors also include a rear shaft-mounted knob, for fine manual control, and a flexible coupling. Our anti-backlash friction nut is a key feature of the lead screw driven tables. It provides very high repeatability and automatically compensates for wear, achieving backlash-free lifetimes in excess of 7.5x106 meters. Units driven by a precision ballscrew achieve stiffnesses of 5x107 Newtons per meter.

The Dover Motion Linear Motor Stage may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
