The Real Time Automation (RTA) 435NBX-N700 is an industrial protocol gateway designed to transfer ASCII serial data directly into and out of Allen-Bradley PLC data structures. The gateway provides a dedicated bridge between serial ASCII devices and Allen-Bradley controllers, allowing scanners, printers, instruments, and other ASCII-based equipment to exchange data with PLC systems without requiring custom protocol development.

The 435NBX-N700 supports two independent serial channels and communicates with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FlexLogix, MicroLogix, SLC 5/05, and PLC-5E platforms. Configuration is performed through a browser-based interface, and the gateway supports both connected and unconnected messaging modes. The design is intended for industrial automation, manufacturing systems, data collection applications, process monitoring, instrumentation integration, and legacy equipment connectivity.
