The Tektronix TF-TekProtect Health Checker is a specialized diagnostic instrument used to verify the condition of TekProtect protection circuitry installed in selected Tektronix oscilloscopes, sampling modules, and related accessories. The tester determines whether the TekProtect protection network remains functional or has been compromised by electrical overstress (EOS) or electrostatic discharge (ESD) events.
TekProtect circuitry is designed to protect sensitive oscilloscope and sampling module inputs from ESD and EOS damage. Because TekProtect is sacrificial by design, it may fail after absorbing one or more damaging events. The TF-TekProtect Health Checker provides a quick method of confirming protection status without requiring extensive troubleshooting.
The device is used both for routine preventive maintenance and before critical testing sessions to verify the protection status of Tektronix instruments equipped with TekProtect circuitry.
The Tektronix TF-TekProtect ESD Protection Tester may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
