The Terahertz Technologies Inc. (TTI) C-995 Optical Chopper System is designed for laboratory and research applications requiring precise optical beam modulation. The C-995 utilizes phase-locked-loop motor control and direct digital synthesis technology to provide highly stable optical chopping frequencies. Users may configure operating frequency directly from the front panel or remotely through the integrated RS-232 communications interface. External synchronization capability allows the unit to phase-lock to an external clock source for integration into complex measurement systems.
The C-995 is commonly used in optical laboratories, spectroscopy systems, photonics research, detector characterization, and lock-in amplifier measurements where precise modulation of optical signals is required.

Functions
Generates and stabilizes a high-precision optical chopping drive by phase-locked loop and direct digital synthesis, providing programmable chopping frequency with stable phase relative to a reference. Supplies drive/control signals to the optical chopper, with local 5-digit LED readout and remote control via RS-232 at 9600 baud, N-8-1, 3-wire. Frequency resolution is 0.01 Hz on the display and 0.001 Hz over RS-232. Accepts 85-260 VAC input, 50-60 Hz, up to 15 VA.
