Newport 8-Channel Butterfly Fixture Drawer (Model Number: 8-CHBF or 8CHBF)

The Newport 8-Channel Butterfly Fixture Drawer (8-CHBF or 8CHBF) holds up to (8) 14-pin laser diode, pigtail packages. Because each package can have its own unique pin-out configuration, the Newport 8-CHBF has a 28 pin, zero-inserion-force (ZIF) jumper block socket to allow any package to communicate with the system. If you do not want to use a PCB that fits the ZIF, jumper wires from pin to pin. Then simply connect your packages' pin-outs to the pre-set Newport configuration.

The pigtail bare fiber is then aligned via a bare fiber holder to the photodiode detector. In addition to TEC's, the drawer has two ports on the back plane to connect to a water circulator. If you provide good water flow, a circulator, in addition to working just as good as a TEC and its driver, is much cheaper.
