The Infrared Systems Development IR-508/301 is a precision calibrated blackbody radiation source designed for infrared sensor calibration, detector characterization, thermal imaging evaluation, radiometric testing, laboratory research, and optical system development. The unit uses a high-emissivity cavity emitter and precision temperature control system to generate a stable, traceable infrared reference source across a wide spectral range.
The blackbody source incorporates an actively controlled PID temperature regulation system with high-stability temperature sensing and NIST-traceable calibration. The system is intended for use in infrared laboratories, thermal imaging development, detector testing, radiometry, aerospace research, defense applications, and optical instrumentation calibration.

Functions
High-stability blackbody radiation source for infrared calibrations with controllable surface temperature from 50 to 1050 C. Delivers uniform radiance with 0.1 C temperature resolution and ±0.1 C short-term, ±0.2 C long-term stability. Spectral output spans 0.5 to 99 micrometers with emissivity greater than 0.99, enabling traceable calibration across visible to far infrared detectors. Suitable for detector responsivity calibration, radiometric response characterization, and infrared system testing.
