Description
This Forma / Thermo 4520 Incubator Orbital Tabletop Shaker is used and in good condition. This is the older Forma style shaker. The Model 4520 Shaker is similar to the Model 420 Shaker.
This unit is sold as pictured. The acrylic lid (P/N 194143), lid pressure arms (P/N 129034), and platform (P/N 238000) are sold separately. Please contact Thermo Forma for pricing and availability. An internal cable has been removed, allowing the unit to function without the need of a lid. Our technicians can easily replace the cable if a lid is to be purchased from Thermo Forma.

Model 420 / 4520 incubator tabletop shaker includes class-leading temperature uniformity for optimum growth, the highest large-flask capacity for the best value, and durable components for long life. This model performs over a temperature range of 5°C above ambient to 80°C (176°F) with control of ±0.1°C, providing the widest temperature range in the industry and ensuring flexibility for a broad range of applications. It has double-wall, insulated chamber which contributes to optimum, controlled uniformity. The twin blowers ensure temperature uniformity of ±0.3°C (in the flask), creating an ideal environment for temperature-sensitive cultures and heavy product loads. With the microprocessor, functions are calibrated easily
through the keypad and audible/visual over and under temperature tracking alarms ensure product protection. The 18.0" x 18.0" (45.7cm x 45.7cm) platform easily accommodates six 2 liter flasks—the highest capacity on the market—or four 2800ml Fernbach flasks. It has a triple counterbalanced mechanism (U.S. Patent 5,558,437) and with the durable, molded, clear acrylic lid with triple-point reinforced hinges which withstands years of use without cracking or discoloring, and the Spill tray, sealed mechanism and control panel, and outside-the-chamber location of electronics ensure that shaker components are not damaged by spills, all contribute to long unit life.
The Thermo 4520 Incubator Orbital Tabletop Shaker may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
