TSVME-400-2 Mercury Computer Systems 48 Optocoupler Isolated Digital Inputs Board

The TSVME400 is a 48 Optocoupler Isolated Input Board with a double European format. Direct connection can be accomplished with 2-wire or 3-wire NAMUR type proximity sensors or with contacts operating from 12 V to 24 V.

Built around two TS68230 parallel interface timers, this board offers two blocks with 6 groups of 4 inputs. 1500V optical isolation and TRANSIL input protection guarantee system integrity for industrial applications. Each input has a programmable Debounce device. 4 inputs inside each block can generate an interrupt on one of the seven levels of the VMEbus when the inputs change status. Each block has its own programmable interrupt vector.

The TSVME400 can be accessed in supervisor mode and/or user mode inside a 128-byte addressing space. The addresses are jumper-defined in the VMEbus I/O addressing space. The front panel contains two 37-pin Sub-D connectors that connect to the two input blocks. It also contains a rotary switch and eight LEDs to display the status of the 12 groups of 4 inputs. The TSVME400 fulfills the needs of the machine tool field with proximity sensors and process control in which interface is direct.

• Voltage for switching from 1 to 0 : 7 V min
• Maximum permissible voltage on inputs : 12 V to 24 V according to external power
