5410C-55-1 North Atlantic Twelve Digital to Analog (D/A) Channels Module

The North Atlantic / Transmagnetics 5410C-55 Twelve Digital to Analog (D/A) Channels Module provides twelve independent, single-ended 16 bit Digital-to-Analog (D/A) channels within a message based VXI compatible size "C" IAC per IEEE-STD-1014. Each D/A is guaranteed to be monotonic (16 bits) over the full temperature range. Each output will deliver 60 mA for a total of 720 mA. Any single output can deliver 410 mA. Remote Sensing is provided for each channel to eliminate errors caused by voltage drops on the interconnecting cables. Internal protection is provided to prevent output voltages from going to the rails if remote sensing is inadvertently disconnected. Trigger: Output of each channel can be programmed to be either continuous or initiated by an external (front panel) trigger or via the trigger bus. Confidence Test: A CNF command will cause relays to disconnect the outputs from the outside world and to interconnect the D/A with the A/D. The microprocessor will program a series of voltages that will verify converter performance. This test will be completed within 1 minute and will provide 95% fault detection to the module level. The self-test is initiated via the IST command and is otherwise identical to the Confidence Test
