The GE Fanuc VMIVME-7486 is a 100% PC/AT compatible processor board on VME bus. The VMIVME-7486 comes with a coprocessor and 8 KB four-way set associative cache-on-chip and has Super VGA 1,024 x 768 Non-interlaced resolution with 1 MB video DRAM on-board. The VMIVME-7486 also includes one parallel centronics port, two serial RS-232C ports, PC/AT keyboard interface, real-time clock with on-board battery and floppy and IDE controllers on-board.
The VMIVME-7486 features custom gate array technology that offers full VME bus functionality as well as an interrupt handler, an interrupter and a system controller. The VMIVME-7486 allows access to all VME bus memory in real or protected modes and comes with three-way byte swapping hardware for little-endian and big-endian type interfacing. The VMIVME-7486 supports DOS and Windows operating systems.
