The 979 uses Vacuum Technologies' Platform leak detector electronics architecture to operate the spectrometer assembly, control the mechanical and high vacuum pumps, control the valve block, and provide leak rate and system status information to the operator interface.

Eight-channel electronics assembly that supplies and times drive signals to electrovalves used in analytical instrumentation, enabling rapid, synchronized actuation and sequencing of gas-flow paths. Provides high-current, low-impedance outputs to energize solenoids with defined voltage and polarity, with programmable pulse width and on/off timing, and common enable control. Interfaces to instrument controller via TTL/CMOS-level inputs and yields status indicators or fault protections. Designed for precise valve actuation in multiport routing schemes, supporting concurrent or staged valve operation with protective features for coil flyback and supply stability.
