The LPA-9070B Series Analyzer, when combined with a computer, forms the basis for highly precise, parametric analysis of laser diodes. Operating over the standard RS-232 or GPIB/IEEE-488.2 interface, these analyzers utilize advanced Windows® software to generate typical L/I, V/I, L/Im and dL/dI parametric data quickly and accurately with 16-bit resolution. Featuring simplified set up, the analyzers can be used at incoming inspection stations or laboratory environments where accurate, fast laser diode characterization is desired.
Model LPA-9072B utilizes a highly accurate 200 mA/500 mA dual range current source, while Model 9074B utilizes a 1 A/3 A source. Both instruments incorporate proven laser protection features. The precise internal photodetector current amplifier permits rapid calibration and measurement of optical power over a wide dynamic range.
The analyzer also includes inputs for ILX's line of external power heads for direct light power measurement. In addition, the 16 W temperature controller facilitates temperature control and testing of virtually any laser diode package.
LPA-9070B Series Analyzers can generate L/I, V/I, L/Im and dL/dI parametric data with 16-bit resolution in seconds. Up to 10 sets of data can be compiled and presented in both graphical and tabular form. Data can be shared with other applications or easily output to a high-resolution printer. Since numerical processing techniques used to obtain derivative and threshold current values vary considerably from user to user, the 9070B Series provides a selection of industry standard algorithms for derivative and threshold calculations.
