The Dolch Shark Series Flat-Panel Displays are designed to ward off the effects of harsh physical treatment, and the environmental hazards routinely encountered in industrial, military, and transportation related applications. Rated NEMA 4/IP 66 for water, dust and dirt intrusion, they are tested to all relevant aspects of MIL-STD-810F for shock and vibration.

All 18-inch Shark models use the latest in high contrast flat-panel technology. With a contrast ratio of 400:1, our 270 nit displays have been used in the same environments that formerly required 900+ nit, super high-bright, daylight readable displays.

Shark's packaging technology is truly a leap forward in the state-of-the-art for industrial stand-alone displays. In contrast to the usual sheet-metal enclosures and heavy machined bezels found on other designs, it delivers ruggedness and reliability with a consistency never before achievable. Significant investments in design and tooling for the high-strength aluminum frame and the unique mounting clips have eliminated all grinding, welding and machining. The simplicity of manufacture ensures repeatability in a way never before possible. In addition, modern extrusion technology produces higher strength and less weight in the hollow aluminum frame while providing very tight tolerances for capturing the Dolch proprietary IsoKlip fastening technology.

Shark SL series flat-panel displays are setting a size efficiency standard for ruggedized industrial displays. They slip easily into limited spaces in industrial venues where ordinary sheet metal designs simply cannot go. The series employs a Dolch proprietary high-strength aluminum extrusion and the exclusive IsoKlip fastening technology (patent pending), greatly reducing size, and improving system reliability. Meeting the standards set by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for protection from water and dirt intrusion, Shark SL displays are ideal for presenting high-end graphics in harsh, dirty environments. Fully tested to military specifications, the rugged packaging allows for long-term, reliable usage on ships, trains, and other forms of transportation that would destroy ordinary commercial grade equipment. Attractive as well as rugged and reliable, Shark SL high-performance flat-panel systems fit well with equipment manufactured by medical and high-end industrial OEMs. They are available in two sizes and resolutions, 15.1-inch XGA and18.1-inch SXGA. Rugged industrial grade touch screens are optionally manufactured.
