The Agilent / Varian 531 and 536 Series Thermocouple Gauge Tubes feature nickle-plated (531 Series) or stainless steel (531 and 536 Series) material, rugged dependability (531 and 536 Series), and a measurement range of 1 x 10-3 Torr to atmosphere (531 and 536 Series).

The 531 Thermocouple Gauge Tube is the time-proven, cost efficient solution (nickel-plated or stainless steel) for continuous and accurate indication of rough vacuum pressure from 1 x 10-3 torr to atmosphere (1 x 10-3 mbar to atmosphere). Featuring rugged dependability and consistent operation unaffected by mounting orientation.

The 536 Thermocouple Gauge Tube is a welded 304 stainless steel version of the 531 with an additional baffle that greatly extends the sensor life when exposed to condensable gases in demanding applications. It provides a continuous and repeatable indication of pressures from 1 x 10-3 Torr to atmosphere (1 x 10-3 mbar to atmosphere). The thermocouple and heater are noble metal to minimize any possible affect of contaminants on gauge performance.

The Varian 0531 Thermocouple Gauge Tube may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Component containing thermocouple junctions housed in a sealed tube that converts gas-induced cooling of a heated element into a low-millivolt signal, used to determine vacuum pressure in rough to high-vacuum systems. The device heats a resistance element and senses the resulting temperature differential with a reference junction, producing a millivolt output proportional to vacuum pressure. It requires cold junction compensation and is designed for integration with vacuum gauges and controllers, providing electrical readout and control signals for the vacuum system.
