This Yokogawa / Ando AQ-4304 Programmable Wavelength White Light Source is used and in excellent condition. Internal lamp has been replaced with a lamp from Yokogawa.

Bandwidth set to 15 nm: -10.1 dBm

Wavelength Set to 1100nm:

The Yokogawa / Ando AQ-4304 Programmable Light Source is programmable between 600-1600 nm with GPIB remote control. This unit operates as a White Light Source with an Internal Tunable Filter. It is also known as a Variable Wavelength Light Source. This unit is useful in applications where a laser is not good enough due to bandwidth limitation. Adjustable bandwidth from 1 to 15 nm. The unit has two operational modes: CW and 270 Hz Chop.

The AQ-4304 Programmable Light Source covers the entire wavelength domain used for fiber optic communications applications. A diffraction grating acts as a monochromator for monochromatic light isolation. Wavelength and resolution can be specified either manually from the front panel, or automatically by an external controller via GP-IB. In addition to its CW output, the AQ-4304 can produce 270Hz chopped light. This means that in conjunction with a suitable power meter, such as the Ando AQ2140, the AQ-4304 can help form a highly sensitive measuring system. The AQ-4304 can be used in conjunction with an optical power meter to determine the wavelength characteristics of optical fibers and other devices. Measurements can be performed with high levels of sensitivity, resulting in more useful, more accurate results.

The Yokogawa AQ-4304 Programmable Wavelength White Light Source may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
