The Polatis / Continuum Photonics Direct Light IG Series Optical Back Planes offers unparalleled performance, value, and flexibility, providing the functionality of three separate instruments in a single compact solution.

Utilizing Continuum’s proven solid state actuator technology, the DirectLight IG switch offers instrument grade performance at a fraction of the cost of similar devices. It provides the power and flexibility of a non-blocking switch matrix, with integral power monitoring and variable optical attenuator functions. This unique combination eliminates the cost and complexity of typical test setups, offering a simple efficient solution for use in the development lab, for system test, or in automated manufacturing test environments.

DirectLight IG offers flexibility in its ability to scale, with switch configurations available in 16 port increments from 16 up to 64 x 64 ports.

The Polatis IG-1600-2R-ST-DC-MTP Direct Light Optical Back Plane may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
