Piezo Velocity Sensor Price & Specs
CTC VE101-1D Piezo Velocity Sensor Description
Functions
Measures vibrational velocity using piezoelectric sensing elements to convert mechanical motion into proportional electrical signals. Operates across wide frequency ranges for machinery condition monitoring and predictive maintenance applications. Features single-axis measurement capability with high sensitivity and low noise characteristics. Designed for surface mounting on rotating equipment, motors, pumps, and industrial machinery to detect bearing faults, imbalance, misalignment, and other mechanical anomalies. Provides velocity output directly without requiring integration circuits, enabling real-time vibration analysis and automated monitoring systems.
Platforms
Operates mounted directly to industrial machinery such as pumps, motors, and fans via a 1/4-28 tapped hole. Interfaces with portable data collectors and online vibration monitoring systems through a 2-Pin MIL-C-5015 connector. The sensor requires a standard 2-wire IEPE/ICP® constant current excitation (18-30 VDC, 2-10 mA) and provides a low-impedance analog voltage signal proportional to velocity for machinery health monitoring applications.
Applications
This piezoelectric velocity sensor converts mechanical vibration into proportional electrical signals through integrated electronic signal conditioning. The sensor utilizes a piezoelectric crystal element with built-in integration circuitry to directly output velocity measurements, eliminating need for external integrators. Single-axis design provides vibration measurement along one directional axis. Output is typically 100 mV/in/s sensitivity with frequency response from 4.5 Hz to 10 kHz. Common applications include rotating machinery condition monitoring, bearing fault detection, gearbox analysis, pump and motor vibration surveillance, industrial fan monitoring, compressor health assessment, turbine shaft vibration measurement, and predictive maintenance programs in manufacturing facilities, power generation plants, and process industries.
Accessories
Required shielded two-conductor cable with a 2-pin MIL-C-5015, Size 10SL, threaded circular connector (Pin 1: Signal, Pin 2: Common) for signal output. Mounts via integral 1/4-28 UNF stud; optional magnetic bases or adhesive pads are available. No mainframe or backplane is required for sensor operation; an external data acquisition system processes the analog voltage.
Interfaces
M12 4-pin male connector for signal output and power, 10-32 UNF threaded stud mount base, hermetically sealed stainless steel housing, 2-wire 4-20mA current loop output, 9-30VDC power requirement, IP67 environmental rating, integrated cable option available with 2-conductor shielded cable and flying leads
Specifications
Piezo velocity sensor that converts mechanical vibration into electrical output via piezo-electric elements. Measures velocity with analog voltage signal proportional to vibration velocity. Designed for vibration monitoring in rotating machinery, pumps, and compressors. Features robust construction for industrial environments, with hermetically sealed housing for protection against moisture and contaminants. Compatible with standard vibration monitoring systems via BNC or MIL-style connectors. Operates across broad frequency range with linear response. Suitable for continuous condition monitoring in manufacturing, power generation, and process industries. Requires no external power source due to self-generating design.

We have some test equipment in our lab from the 1990's that stopped working about 2 years ago. It sat in the corner collecting dust, but we took on a project last month that required more machines. After talking to Artisan, we found out we could get parts to fix our machine for much less than buying a new one!
- Debbie A. Google
Great company with great people. Always a pleasure to do business with Artisan!
- Brian S.
Artisan saved us headaches and money by helping us find a replacement Tektronix VXI module. Finding quality replacement parts is difficult and I'm glad they had what I needed.
- Dongmin K.
Fast shipping on replacement parts we thought we’d never find!
