The Cytec 56E / 56EE Switching Matrix System is a modular system that can be configured for
matrix or switching applications. Up to 10,000 single or two-wire
closures can be configured. Each closure may be latched or
unlatched by remote access, or optionally, by front panel manual
control.
The basic system configuration is a 200-latchpoint, 10-switch
module, Cytec Standard Control Chassis with expansion interface.
The Cytec Expansion Chassis may be configured for (400) (maximum) latchpoints,
(20) switch modules, per each unit. Both are modular in
construction, featuring a mother board backplane to minimize
servicing, enhance reliability, and improve system signal
characteristics. Typically, a system with a requirement for (1000)
latchpoints maximum is composed of a Cytec Standard Control Chassis and (2) Cytec Expansion Chasses.
Standard DC power is supplied to latch (120) crosspoints
simultaneously; optionally, 400-crosspoint power may be provided
in the Cytec Standard Control Chassis (not available with Option K). All chasses
accommodate switch module expansion through plug-in circuit boards,
providing (20) latchpoints each (except for special modules; VHF
High Isolation/Low leakage and High Power).
The 230142-12-1020 Cytec Relay Board may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
