The Themis USP IIi-3V combines the new UltraSPARC IIi, Sun Microelectronics' most advanced 64-bit SPARC V.9 superscalar processor, with up to three PMC expansion slots in a high-speed VME64 architecture.
With dual MII or 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, dual Ultra Fast/Wide SCSI interfaces, and dual multiprotocol Serial ports, the USPIIi-3v is ideal for high availability telecommunications and rugged COTS applications.
This high-performance 6U platform combines 360/440 MHz RISC processing (440 MHz: 18.7 SPECint95/21.1 SPECfp95) with SunSoft Solaris compatibility, giving the user access to thousands of Solaris 2.x off-the-shelf software solutions.
Memory is expandable using memory mezzanine cards, from 64 Mbytes to 1 Gbyte of 3.3V EDO DRAM. Both the value and performance of USPIIi-3v are complimented by a complete set of workstation I/O features. The USPIIi-3v includes a UPA64S Creator Graphics slot for high performance graphics processing.
The USPIIi-3v supports Solaris 2.7, the industry's leading Unix operating system. Solaris 2.7, SunSoft's latest release, is today's preferred design choice, with advanced multi-threading performance advantages, real-time characteristics, and a wide choice of off-the-shelf third party software.
The USPIIi-3v combines open standards with a high throughput PCI interface. This design sets the highest standard for embedded SPARC processing, ensuring that your application can keep pace with evolving system memory and I/O demands. The USPIIi-3v is the right solution for performance-oriented uniprocessor applications.
