Functions
Eight independent RS-232/422/485 serial communication channels with software-selectable interface modes. Hardware flow control support with RTS/CTS handshaking. 16C554 UART controllers provide 16-byte FIFOs per channel. Programmable baud rates up to 115.2 kbps per port. Individual interrupt generation capability for each channel. PCI-104 form factor enables stackable embedded system integration. Conformal coating provides environmental protection against moisture, dust, and chemical contaminants. DB-25 or HD-68 connector options for external serial device connections. Suitable for industrial automation, data acquisition systems, multi-drop RS-485 networks, and legacy serial device interfacing applications.
