The JDSU / Acterna / TTC T-Berd 224 T-Carrier Analyzer offers flexibility and power that is unmatched
in any channel access test set. Use the
T-BERD 224 to monitor the status of in-service circuits,
to troubleshoot out-of-service circuits with a complete
set of stress patterns, and to isolate faulty equipment or
circuit impairments. The T-BERD 224’s field-upgradeable
software options enable you to build a custom set
for every testing need. The T1 BERT Option enables you
to stress test the entire T1 circuit. Test the error tolerance
of network equipment by inserting single, burst, variable-
rate BPVs, frame errors, and logic errors.
The TTC T-Berd 224 T-Carrier Analyzer may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Portable BER test instrument for T1/FT1 transport lines, performing end-to-end bit error rate testing and pattern generation on T-carrier paths. Utilizes DDS BER testing bundle for deterministic BER measurement, supports dual DSU data ports via RS-232, RS-449, and V.35 for parallel control and data paths. Provides line- and DSU-level tests, carrier framing and timing analysis, jitter and threshold measurement, and reporting of BER, error counts, and statistics. Suitable for validation of T1/FT1 DSU configurations and BER performance in telecom networks.
