The Elma Type 39V VME / VME64 Chassis is a advanced generation of enclosures for VITA based bus architecture (VPX, VME, VME64X, and VXS) applications. This family of chassis showcases an optimal design that addresses EMC, cooling, and ease of manufacturing, in a highly attractive, cost effective package. The black powder coated platforms are available in rackmount or desktop versions. They comply fully to IEEE 1101.10/11 specifications with horizontal mounting for 6U x 160mm VITA cards from the front and 6U x 80mm I/O cards from the rear. The platforms are designed to hold a wide variety of storage devices depending on the configurations. The thermal engineering guarantees superior cooling with front-to-rear or side-to-side airflow, considering card, device and power supply requirements. Standard 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 slot backplanes can be mounted. Fix mount or plug-in power supplies are standard options. A primary consideration was EMC compliance. The platforms meet the strict requirements of CE, FCC Class A and NEBS.

Designed for industrial computing applications requiring reliable power and modular expansion.

Designed for VME64 systems, operates in 19-inch racks with 4U height, supports up to 7 slots with custom backplane and connectors. Horizontal card orientation compatible with 84T width. Rear I/O capability, housing dimensions permit depths from 200mm to 299mm. Accommodates dual high-security PSUs with 90-230VAC input and 200-299 Watts output. The configuration supports applications requiring N+1 redundancy, with EM shielding level 1 suitable for environments needing moderate protection.
