The Abaco Systems DPMCC Dual PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) Carrier is a companion to the V5B and V5C embedded PCs which supports PMC expansion interface through a special purpose PCI bridge chip. The DPMCC plugs directly into the connectors of the embedded PC and occupies one adjacent VMEbus slot position. The V5B or V5C and the DPMCC form a single unit module that can be installed in the VMEbus with any PMC non-extended cards, and is supplied with a double-wide face plate to replace the single width faceplate of the embedded PC.

The DPMCC can support PMC cards which use either +5V or +3.3V as their supply voltage. The DPMCC has a DC regulator to supply +3.3V to the permanent +3.3V pins defined by the PMC specification. However, the DPMCC only supports PMC cards which use +5V signaling (I/O) voltage. PMC cards which require +3.3V signaling cannot be used. Per the PMC specification, the DPMCC has voltage keying pins in the +5V position to prevent +3.3V Signal PMC cards from being used.
