The Marvin Test Sets / Geotest GX79x0 Series Embedded System PXI Controllers is a family of 6U, high-performance embedded system controllers that are fully compatible with the PXI and cPCI specifications. With multiple CPU and memory configurations and a full range of peripherals, combined with the embedded storage peripherals of the GX7000 and GX7100, the GX79x0 is the ultimate solution for a system controller.

The GX7900 is a dual-slot 6U controller for use with Geotest's GX7000 PXI chassis. The GX7910 is a single-slot 6U controller for use with Geotest's GX7100 PXI combo chassis and is also PICMG 2.16 compatible.

Both the GX7900 and GX7910 controllers are offered in multiple CPU and memory configurations ranging from the cost-effective 500 MHz Celeron processor to the high-performance 2.4GHz P4 processor. On-board memory starts at 64 MB and supports up to 2GB of on-board memory.

All Controllers offer multiple peripherals and I/O interfaces through either the PXI controller front panel or the rear I/O panel of the GX7000 and GX7100. All storage devices (i.e. Floppy disk, Hard disk, and CD-ROM drives) are built-in to the GX7000 and GX7100 chassis and are connected to the GX7900 internally.

The Marvin Test Systems GX7900-850 Double-Slot cPCI/PXI Controller may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
