Each channel provides CAN High Speed and modified RS485 as physical interface. The physical interfaces are optically isolated from the CAN controller and powered by an on board DC/DC converter for each channel.
• The TPMC816-10 provides two independent CAN bus channels
• The TPMC816-11 provides one CAN bus channel

Functions
High-performance PMC module providing dual-channel CAN bus interface with extended frame support for industrial automation and vehicle networks. Features independent CAN controllers with configurable bit rates up to 1 Mbps, hardware message filtering, and deep FIFO buffers for each channel. Implements CAN 2.0A/B protocol with 11-bit and 29-bit identifier support. Connects via PMC connector to host systems, presenting memory-mapped registers for configuration and data transfer. Includes interrupt generation capability and bus error detection. Commonly deployed in real-time control systems, automotive testing, industrial machinery monitoring, and distributed control networks requiring reliable serial communication.
