The Vincent / UniBlitz LS Series Shutters are especially well suited for laser use, with applications including low level chopping, pulse gating, selection and modulation to 400Hz. Precision exposure control in the areas of holography and microscopy are additional application that benefit from the precise, repeatable characteristics of the LS shutter series.

The LS shutter series is comprised of three models. The model LS2 features a 2mm aperture, with typical rise time of 300 µsec. The LS3 and LS6 models feature a 3mm and 6mm aperture, respectively. All three styles are offered mounted ina black anodized aluminum housing, and are equipped with the electronic synchronization system.

The UniBlitz LS3Z2 Shutter may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Functions

Precisely modulates light transmission by rapidly opening and closing a 3mm aperture. Utilizes AlSiO-coated beryllium copper blades to provide controlled temporal gating of an optical path, accurately regulating light exposure duration and intensity for high-speed optical switching applications.

Platforms

Optical research and laser applications requiring precise temporal control of light transmission through 3mm aperture with microsecond response times. Integrates with laser systems, spectroscopy equipment, fluorescence microscopy, and photometry instruments via standard optical mounts and electrical control interfaces. Compatible with UV through NIR wavelengths using aluminum silicon oxide coated beryllium copper blade assembly for high-speed switching operations in laboratory and industrial optical measurement systems.
