The Newport / ILX Lightwave MPS-8000 Series Fiber Optic Sources are cost-effective general purpose sources. The MPS-8000 offers fiber optic LED or laser diode sources in single or dual output configurations. Relying on ILX Lightwave's proven laser control technology, these non-temperature stabilized sources provide power and wavelength stability for accurate and reliable test results.

Manufactured in a variety of wavelengths and fiber connector interface options, MPS-8000 Series sources are ideal for applications such as quality control, calibration and acceptance, and insertion and return loss testing.

Standard source options include 1310 and 1550 nm LEDs, 1310 and 1550 nm Fabry-Perot laser diodes, and 1310 and 1550 nm distributed feedback (DFB) laser diodes.

The Newport MPS-8024 Dual Output Fiber Optic Source may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Dual-output fiber optic source with two independent DFB laser diodes at 1310.3 nm and 1549.5 nm and an FC/PC output connector. Each channel provides the specified optical power: up to 1.3 mW at 1310.3 nm and up to 1.0 mW at 1549.5 nm. Intended for calibration and characterization of fiber links, components, and receivers. Supplied from 100-115 VAC.
