The Teknic SSt-1500 Series Servo Drives is the way to get the easy digital control and low cost of a stepper motor system, but with state-of-the-art DSP driven, sinewave-commutated brushless servo performance. Unlike most servo drives that control only torque or velocity, SSt servo drives also control position by using digital step and direction pulses as input.
The Teknic SSt-1500-ACX Servo Drive may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Functions
Digital servo stepper drive with closed-loop vector torque control for sinewave-commutated brushless servo motors. Operates on 24-75VDC input, delivers up to 12A peak current at 1725W power. Interfaces via controller connector for enable/reset commands, supports 500kHz encoder feedback. Provides step-loss-free operation, tunable PID gains (Kv, Kp, Ki), higher torque/speed than equivalent steppers.
