Emerson / Motorola I/O Distribution Board Overview
Features:

- (1) RJ45 for SCSI Device Expansion Module Cooling Sensors

- Modem Present LED
- 68-Pin SCSI II Connector
The I/O distribution board provides circuits that enable and disable, (turn on and off), the power supplies in all system modules. The circuitry that does this is powered by the base system power supply. It is this circuitry that is connected to the keylock switch on the front of the CPU Module.
A circuit on the I/O distribution board detects when any module's power supply 5 V output is substantially out of regulation. When the out of regulation condition persists, and for 200 millisecond minimum after, the I/O distribution board drives VME system reset.
The I/O distribution board resets the modem and the cooling failure power shut down circuitry when the switch is in the reset position. A system reset is not generated by this switch.
The Emerson I/O Distribution Board may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
