With its AltiVec vector processing unit, the PowerPC 74X0 is ideally suited for signal processing functions and leading edge computing. With more than 1400 MIPS in a single VME slot, the VMPC6c delivers unprecedented computing power and enables real-time processing of the most demanding data streams. Combined with Thales Computers software extensions to the base operating system which ease the development and deployment of applications on complex architectures.
