The Brookhaven BI-DNDC is a differential refractometer designed for measurement of refractive index increment (dn/dc) and for use as a concentration detector in chromatographic systems. This unit is configured with a static wavelength optical source, suitable for applications requiring wavelength matching with light scattering systems.
The instrument operates in both static batch mode for dn/dc determination and dynamic flow mode for use with GPC and SEC systems. It utilizes a differential optical measurement method, comparing a sample against a reference solvent to provide high sensitivity refractive index measurements.
The BI-DNDC features a low volume flow cell, active temperature control, and multiple measurement ranges, enabling accurate analysis across a wide range of sample concentrations. Operation is available through the front panel or via external computer interface using Brookhaven software.
