The flexibility and expandability realized through SCSI interfaces as well as the high performance and command sets of the optical disk drives allow the user to
construct disk subsystems featuring advanced functions, high-performance, large-scale storage and high reliability.
The Fujitsu MCM3130SS Optical Disk Drive may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

3.5-inch magneto-optical disk drive supporting 1.3GB capacity on double-sided media. Utilizes magnetic field modulation recording with laser heating for data writing. Features SCSI-2 interface for system integration. Provides random access read/write capabilities with sector-level addressing. Incorporates error correction coding and verify-after-write functionality. Supports both 512 and 1024 byte sector formats. Enables archival data storage, backup operations, and data interchange applications. Includes automatic disk loading/ejection mechanism and LED status indicators. Compatible with ISO/IEC 15041 media standards.
