The Moxa EDS-205 is an industrial unmanaged Ethernet switch designed for factory automation, process control, machine networks, transportation systems, utility infrastructure, and general industrial networking applications. The switch provides five 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports in a compact DIN-rail mount form factor and supports plug-and-play operation without requiring configuration.
The EDS-205 supports IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3x standards with automatic speed negotiation, automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover detection, full- or half-duplex operation, and store-and-forward switching. The platform is designed for reliable operation in industrial environments and includes broadcast storm protection, overload protection, reverse-polarity protection, and a wide input voltage range.
The compact housing, DIN-rail mounting capability, industrial temperature rating, and long MTBF make the EDS-205 suitable for deployment in control cabinets, machine panels, distributed automation systems, and industrial communication networks.
