NEC FD1157C Floppy Drive Overview

Features:

  • Vertical Orientation
  • Spring Disk Expulsion
  • Locking Knob which Secures Disk
This NEC FD1157C floppy drive has a vertical orientation for disk loading. The locking mechanism allows a secure hold on the floppy disk. When the locking knob is turned, a spring repels the disk to a applicable access area. Capacity of drive in Formatted High Density Mode is 1.2 MB, where Normal Density Mode is 720 kb. Capacity of drive in Unformatted High Density Mode is 1.6 MB, where Normal Density Mode is 1.0 MB.

The NEC FD1157C Floppy Drive may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
