Schneider Electric / Gould / AEG's 984 Compact Programmable Logic Controllers bring the high performance, application flexibility, and programming compatibility of the 984 family to the small controller market. As a controller in the 984 family, Compacts implement a common instruction set for developing user logic, standard Modbus communication functionality, and optional Modbus Plus communication capabilities.

Every 984 control system consists of a PLC linked to input and output modules on the shop floor. These I/O modules are wired to field sensing and switching devices, linking them directly to your application.

The AEG PC-E984-255 Compact PLC may still be available for purchase and support from Artisan Technology Group beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
